Kasper Parformak is Sixteen, Rocketing Toward Master Angler Status

Although I would like to be in the fishing and travel industry full time, I wake up every morning and fulfill my duties as the service manager of a small computer company. While checking in a laptop for a repair for a high school student, I noticed a fish sticker on the cover.

I had to ask, and Dad was more than happy to tell me all about his son Kasper.

After that initial meeting, Kasper’s dad would send me pictures throughout the year to update me on the next new species or record catch. I needed to know more about this precocious kid, but it was hard to track him down – he always seemed to be doing homework, playing water polo, or keeping his bait wet in some kind of water.

Eventually I met one of the most energetic, lively, adventurous, expressive, charismatic, insightful young anglers on the planet.

Kasper Parfomak, is a 16-year-old extreme angler from Arlington, Virginia. He’s a multispecies angler all over the east coast; targeting huge crappie  to trophy stripers, and everything in between. Kasper spends almost every weekend on the water chasing fish or plotting for the next trip. He usually spends class time in school researching under-the-radar techniques, finding locations, or reading old articles for information that's beyond common knowledge. He hopes to study fisheries and videography in college and is just now getting into the fishing side of social media through Instagram and YouTube.
